Travertine is a stone formed in area in which percolating water bubbled through the sedimentary deposit. This “bubbling dynamic” in the formation of this type of stone cause travertines to have holes throughout their structure.
When travertine tiles and slabs are produced, the factory can either fill the holes, or, can leave them open. Some of our materials are haned and filled, others are honed and unfilled.
Travertine stones are very hard and durable. They can be used for interior and exterior applications, residential and commercial. Special sizes, thickness” and finishes are available.
